Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 10, 2026.
Draft notice: this text is under lawyer review before launch. It is not legal advice.
LAWYER: This notice is a precaution. Some US state laws (for example Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada and Connecticut) regulate "consumer health data", which can include information about reproductive or sexual health. BeforeVows is not a health service, but some questions ask about wanting children, difficulty having children, and intimacy. Counsel should decide whether this notice, and separate consents, are required, and delete this notice if not.
This notice is part of the Privacy Policy of Magmira Inc ("we"). It explains how we handle answers that may count as consumer health data.
What we may collect
Your answers to questions about whether and when you want children, how you would handle difficulty having children, and intimacy and boundaries. We do not collect medical records, diagnoses, test results, or health insurance information, and we do not ask for them.
Why
Only to provide the Couple Assessment: to compare your answers with your partner's, and to create your report and decision sheet. We do not use this information for advertising.
Your consent
We ask for your agreement before you start the questions. Your approval of a connection is a separate, specific agreement that your partner may see your answer on topics where you differ. You can withdraw your agreement by ending the connection or deleting your account.
Who gets it
- Your partner, as described above.
- Service providers that host and secure our systems and send emails, under contract and only to provide services to us.
- We do not sell this information.
Your rights
You can ask to confirm that we collect it, to see it, to withdraw consent, and to delete it, including from archives and backups as they roll off. Use Account → Your data or write to support@beforevows.app. If we refuse a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and you may contact your state attorney general if you are unhappy with the result.
Geofencing
We do not use geofencing around any health facility.
